Student Success Checklist: PowerPoints and Presentation Aids

  • Slides are mostly images, graphs, and diagrams that add visual interest and understanding, not unnecessary text.
  • Slides use a large non-serif font that can be easily seen from the back of the room.
  • I chose high-contrast colors, but did not use colors that would be difficult for color-blind audience members to distinguish (such as red and green).
  • I included links or citations for any images, graphs, or other resources that I did not create.
  • I included blank slides when I will not be referring directly to a slide.
  • My slides complement my presentation, but they are not my speaker notes.
